I found when I started learning After Effects that I needed a tangible, measurable project to work on in order to make progress and find success. I decided to merge my loves of true crime and animation to make an informative video styled as though it were produced in the 1980s.
For an initial step into After Effects I’m very proud of this work. I think that the visual style is consistent and clean, leveraging strong symbols and imagery to help convey ideas and messaging. I’d like to revisit this project in the future and see what new elements and refinements I could introduce to it.
